(Rhodium plating is normally used to give white gold a platinum-white color. Rhodium plating yellow gold to change the color of gold is not recommend on rings because it will wear off. Since earrings don’t get a lot of physical wear, the rhodium will stay on unless put to a jewelers torch during repair. In that case, the rhodium plating can be redone.)
